Wiffle ball is a popular backyard game. You can throw various types of balls with different pitches while playing this game. Here is how to curve a wiffle ball.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold the ball firmly with your thumb and forefinger. Note that your thumb and forefinger should form the shape of a horseshoe.

  2. Step 2

Place your middle finger close to the forefinger on the ball. Use it to apply pressure on the ball to twist.

  3. Step 3

Let your ring finger (third finger) and pinkie (last finger) rest below the ball, with only the ring finger in contact with the ball. Note that the ring finger should form the shape of a knuckle to knock on a door.

  4. Step 4

Turn your wrist slightly to the left and throw the ball on the target. The ball will snap down to the right when released.

  5. Step 5

Note that you will get the full effect of the curve only if you throw the ball hard.

  6. Step 6

Practice with different speeds. Start slow and gradually gain momentum.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not reveal your pitch to the person who is batting so that he does not know what to expect.
  • Avoid playing on windy days. You might not get the throw that you want.
