How to Treat a Hangnail

  • Cuticle cream or oil
  • Hand cream
  • Antibiotic cream
  • Nail clippers or scissors

Instructions

      Wash your hands with warm, soapy water.

      Trim the hangnail off with small nail scissors or nail clippers as close to your skin as possible.

      Apply a small dab of antiseptic or antibiotic cream.

      Apply cuticle oil and rub into your hands and cuticles.

      Put a bandage on the hangnail if it is deep or very painful for a few days to allow it to heal. Keep applying antibiotic cream to the cut.
