Installing a wireless printer adapter for your PC is easy and can be done in just a few steps. A wireless adapter for your printer allows you to set up your PC anywhere and you don’t have to worry about creating extra space for your printer within cord distance.

Things You'll Need:

  • Installation CD
  • Wireless printer adapter card
  • Printer
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

    Turn on your computer and printer.

  2. Step 2

    Put the installation CD into the computer’s CD-ROM.

  3. Step 3

    Follow the onscreen instructions.

  4. Step 4

    Plug the wireless card into the port on your computer.

  5. Step 5

    Plug in the other half to your printer if needed.

  6. Step 6

    Follow the onscreen instructions to finish installation.

  7. Step 7

    Restart your computer.

  8. Step 8

    Make sure the wireless card works and can communicate with your printer.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always read the instruction manual that came with the card you purchased.
  • If you purchased the wireless printer adapter card second-hand or can’t find the installation CD, search the Internet for software downloads to support your printer card. You can always check with the printer manufacturer and on its Web site to see if there are downloadable software updates.
  • Some wireless printer adapters have distance limitations. Check your manual to find out how big your range is.
