Lipstick is the most vital part of your daily makeup routine. It helps keep your color looking balanced and accentuates your smile and friendly face. Unfortunately, it's the first thing to fail you as you go through your day, especially if you bite or lick your lips. To help minimize the need for reapplication, follow the steps below.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Lipstick
  • Tissues
Step1
Apply your lipstick as normal, with or without lip liner.
Step2
Blot once with a double ply tissue. This may dim the color, which is okay.
Step3
Apply a second layer of lipstick, and blot again. This removes the oils from the lipstick and leaves the matte and color behind, which will stay better over the course of the day.
Step4
Apply a clear gloss over the top to help you seal in the color and allow your lips to retain their color much longer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use bright colors so that even when they fade, you will have a bit of color on your lips.
  • Don’t forget to check your teeth when you're done, or you could be going out in public with stained teeth.
