If you have planned a luncheon, there are a few key ways in which to apply makeup in order to look your best.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foundation
  • Eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Brow pencil
  • Bronzer
  • Brushes and sponges
  • Lip gloss
  • Concealer
  • Eye shadow
  1. Step 1

Apply sunscreen. This is important whenever you will be going outside, especial around the middle of the day, even if it is cold or rainy.

  2. Step 2

Even out your skin tone using a foundation that matches your natural color. You may need to apply concealer to cover blemishes missed by the foundation.

  3. Step 3

Use a blush the color of your natural flushed color and apply it using a large brush and a sweeping motion on the apples of your cheeks.

  4. Step 4

Apply bronzer to your chin, temple, cheeks, nose and anywhere else naturally kissed by the sun.

  5. Step 5

Highlight your eyes using light shadow on your brow bone and at the tear ducts.

  6. Step 6

Use a neutral shadow in a medium shade that complements your eyes.

  7. Step 7

Sweep a darker shade of shadow into the creases of your eyes and at the corners.

  8. Step 8

Apply liner and mascara to define your eyes. Use softer shades instead of the dark colors you would use during the evening.

  9. Step 9

Use a sheer color lip gloss to accentuate your mouth.

  10. Step 10

Carry your makeup bag to reapply makeup as necessary. This is especially important for your lips, since you will be eating.

Tips & Warnings
  • Higher quality products may be more expensive, but they often provide better results.
  • Remember to remove all makeup before going to bed at night.
  • Test all new products on a patch of your skin before using on your face to make sure they do not cause an allergic reaction.
