In the evening, it is okay to dress up a bit more for work, including wearing a bit more makeup. The routine is not too different from applying makeup in the morning, but when you apply makeup for a dinner meeting, you should follow a few extra tips to make sure you look your best.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foundation
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Lip color
  • Brow pencil
  • Brushes and sponges
  • Lip gloss
  • Concealer
  • Powder
  • Eye shadow
  1. Step 1

Even out your skin tone using a foundation that matches your natural color. You may need to apply concealer to cover blemishes missed by the foundation.

  2. Step 2

Use a blush the color of your natural flushed color and apply it using a large brush and a sweeping motion on the apples of your cheeks.

  3. Step 3

Highlight your eyes using light shadow on your brow bone and at the tear ducts.

  4. Step 4

Use a neutral shadow in a medium shade that complements your eyes.

  5. Step 5

Sweep a darker shade of shadow into the creases of your eyes and at the corners.

  6. Step 6

Apply liner and mascara to define your eyes. You may wish to choose a bolder color than you would use in the daytime.

  7. Step 7

Use a sheer color on your lips that is one or two shades darker than your natural lip color.

  8. Step 8

Apply gloss to make your lips shine.

  9. Step 9

Carry your makeup bag to reapply makeup as necessary.
