When you are camping, gardening, working outside, or just enjoying nature, you can still look your best. Applying makeup for being outdoors provides some tricky challenges, but this process is not difficult if you use the correct products.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lip color
  • Foundation
  • Eyeliner
  • Eye shadow
  • Blush
  • Waterproof Mascara
  • Brushes and sponges
  • Concealer
  • Powder
  • Sunscreen

    Choose the Right Makeup

  1. Step 1

Apply sunscreen. This is important, no matter how cloudy, cold, or rainy it may be.

  2. Step 2

Even out your skin tone using a foundation that matches your natural color. You may need to apply concealer to cover blemishes missed by the foundation.

  3. Step 3

Use a blush the color of your natural flushed color and apply it using a large brush and a sweeping motion on the apples of your cheeks.

  4. Step 4

Use powder to set the makeup on your face.

  5. Step 5

Skip using most eye makeup, since it will only wash off in water or look unnatural. Instead, simply use a single color on your eyelids and a liner if absolutely necessary.

  6. Step 6

Use waterproof mascara in case you sweat or encounter rain or water.

  7. Step 7

Use a sheer color on your lips that is one or two shades darker than your natural lip color. For many women, a gloss provides more than enough color.

Tips & Warnings
  • Carry your makeup products with you. You may need to reapply throughout the day.
  • Higher quality products may be more expensive, but they often provide better results.
  • Test all new products on a patch of your skin before using on your face to make sure they do not cause an allergic reaction.
