    Choosing Makeup for White Skin

  1. Step 1

Choose a foundation, concealer and powder that work for you. If you're white, look for a color that is an exact match to your skin tone or, at the worst, a shade lighter. Look for pink or yellow undertones to match your skin.

  2. Step 2

Look for soft pink blushes that match nicely with the naturally flushed color of your skin. Avoid bright colors or colors that are too brown, which will make you look dull.

  3. Step 3

Play up your heritage with your eyes. Use brown or black eyeliners for definition and mascaras and eye shadows that complement your eye color. You can also play with colored liners to complement the color of your eyes.

  4. Step 4

Line your lips for definition if necessary. Use a color that is the same or very slightly darker than the lipstick you will be using.

  5. Step 5

Choose lip colors that will not outshine your eyes and that look nice with your brown, red or blonde hair.

  6. Step 6

Define and darken your eyebrows with a pencil matching your natural hair color.

  7. Step 7

Test all products at a makeup counter before purchase.

Tips & Warnings
  • Test all new products on a patch of your skin before using on your face to make sure they do not cause any reactions.
