How to Propose With a Sing-Along at Your Favorite Pub

Proposing with a sing-along at your favorite pub is a very fun and original idea. You (or someone else) will need to write the song, so the proposal is certain to be original.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Contact the people you would like to use for the sing-along. Be sure they are people who you can trust with your secret if the proposal is going to be a surprise. Alternately, you could wait until you arrive at the pub and distribute the song to various patrons. If you want the proposal to be a complete surprise, the latter idea may be the better one.
2. Write the sing along. If you are not creative or witty, you could try finding one online. Or, have someone you know who is creative compose the song.
3. When you (or someone else) writes the sing-along, try to use some important events from your dating lives in the song to make it unique.
4. Call your girlfriend and ask her to meet you at the pub.
5. If your friends or family members will be involved, call everyone else and tell them to arrive 30 minutes before your girlfriend is scheduled to arrive.
6. Post someone as a lookout near the door in case your girlfriend arrives early.
7. Try to go through the song at least twice before your girlfriend arrives.
8. Discuss the time for the sing along.
9. Let the group know you will give them a signal when they are to start the sing along. Discuss the signal.
10. Be prepared with the ring and a few words to say to your girlfriend to make the proposal official.
