When you are ready to propose, you may want to propose by leaving a note in the book your girlfriend is currently reading--tale advantage of the element of surprise!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Decide what type of note you would like to leave. You may want to consider a humorous, serious or romantic style for your note.
Step2
Write the note. You may want to include instructions for what she should do once she finds the note. Meeting in person is usually better than talking on the phone.
Step3
Before the day of the proposal, hide the note in a place where your girlfriend is not likely to find it.
Step4
Before the big day, go back and reread the note. Proofread it and be sure that it says what you would like for it to say.
Step5
On the day you would like to propose, slip the note into your girlfriend's book.
Step6
Be sure to be at the location mentioned in the note at least 15 minutes early.
Step7
Don't forget the ring!
Step8
Be ready with a few words that will make the proposal official.
