How to select the perfect eyeglasses
Trying on glasses is typically an extensive process as eyeglass stores carry hundreds of different frame choices. Choosing the right pair of glasses may seem like a daunting task, but you can lessen the selection quandary by knowing which style of glasses goes with the shape of your face. 1
Select angular and geometric frames for a round face. This style will enhance facial features while creating a longer and thinner appearance for your face. Round faces prominently display curved lines around the chin and hair line, but lack any angle. Create a natural balance by choosing frames which widen the face; such as those with a clear or thin bridge.

2
Try glasses which have rectangular or square lenses if you have an oval-shaped face. Continue the balance created by your facial shape by selecting frames which are not extremely thin -- try those that balance the length and the width of the lenses.

3
Try glasses which have butterfly-shaped lenses for a square-shaped face. Oval and round frames are generally the most attractive on a square face. Square faces are dominated by a strong jaw line, wide facial shape, and broad foreheads. Select frames which are long and narrow, and those which connect the arms to the top of the frame.

Go with broader glasses for an oblong face. Oblong faces are long from forehead to chin, but do not possess much width ear-to-ear. Deep frames with decorative features and low bridges act to create more width, shorten the nose, and create a well-balanced and attractive facial structure.
