How to Access Firefox Forums

Even those who have used Firefox for some time might come across some problems or issues they can't resolve. Instead of trying to figure them out on your own, why not take advantage of the Firefox forums? The forums are not only a great place to get your questions answered, but you can also read through the threads to find information, tips and tricks you may not have known before.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access

Access the Firefox Forums

Step1
Visit the Mozilla support page (see Resources below).
Step2
Look for the Support Menu, and select 'Firefox Help.'
Step3
Scroll down the page to the 'Forums' link. Click it--this will open the community support page.
Step4
Read through the helpful tips listed on the top of the page and then click on the link that says 'Mozilla Firefox Support Forum.' The next page will contain the forums, which are part of the Mozillazine Web site.
Step5
Create an account by clicking the 'Register' link. Once you've created an account, you can post new threads or reply to existing threads.

Tips & Warnings

  • Download Firefox from the Mozilla Web site by visiting their download page (see Resources below).
  • Confirm that your computer has met the minimum system requirements for downloading Firefox. Mac users must have a 233 Mhz processor, 64 MB of RAM, 50 MB of free disk and Mac OS X 10.2 or higher. Windows users need at least 64 MB of RAM, 50 MB of free disk space, a 233 Mhz processor and Windows 98 or higher. Linux users need a 233 Mhz processor, 50 MB of free disk space, the Linux kernel 2.2.14 and 64 MB of RAM.
  • Read through the support section of the Mozilla Web site for important information about how to use Firefox. You'll find tips and tricks to help better understand Firefox (see Resources below).
  • The Firefox web browser is stocked with security features. These include a pop-up blocker and forged site detection.
  • This guide was written for Firefox version 2.0.0.2. If you're running a different version, some or all of the steps may not apply.
