Open a Site to Edit With Amaya

  1. Step 1

Download Amaya at Amaya's main page (see Resources below). Install the program if you haven't already done so.

  2. Step 2

Open the Amaya browser and editor and then open an existing site you would like to edit. Click on 'Open' at the top of the screen and watch for the open document box to appear.

  3. Step 3

Type in the address of the site you want to edit or click on the folder icon to browse through your folders. Upon inputting the correct file, you need to choose where you'd like the new document to open. Decide and then click the 'Open' button.

  4. Edit Sites Using the Amaya Web Editor

  5. Step 1

Wait for the new window or tab to open and begin to edit the site. The top half of the screen will render the Web page within the browser while the lower part will display the entire source code for the page.

  6. Step 2

Click your mouse or track pad once within the browser area and you can edit the site directly. You can also edit the document within the editor section of the window and then hit 'Save' to see the results in the browser. When you put your cursor on a specific place in the browser, Amaya will bring up the corresponding line of code in the editor.

  7. Step 3

Sample the variety of editing capabilities of Amaya. These include editing attributes and mathematics.
