How to Manage Passwords With SeaMonkey
With online banking, email and many other sites requiring usernames and passwords, typing your password multiple times a day can take time and get annoying. With SeaMonkey's password managing tools, you can choose to have your passwords remembered to save time or keep them hidden for added security.

Download and Install SeaMonkey to Your Computer

Add the SeaMonkey application suite to your computer by visiting the Mozilla SeaMonkey home page (see Resources below).

Decide whether you want a complete version of SeaMonkey, a customized version or choose only the browser.

Manage Passwords Through Default Settings on SeaMonkey

Use the Edit option on the SeaMonkey navigator toolbar and click on the Preferences option when the drop-down menu appears.

Choose the Privacy & Security option from the Category menu that appears in the side bar and click on the Passwords menu.

Click the checkbox off or on to allow the Password Manager to remember your passwords. If you choose to have it remember your passwords, your username and password will appear when you return to sites where you have previously entered that information.

Specify the passwords you want Password Manager to remember by clicking on the 'Manage Stored Passwords' button to designate which sites passwords should be saved for and which sites passwords should never be saved.

Choose to encrypt information stored on your hard drive by checking the box labeled 'Use encryption when storing sensitive data.'
Manage Site Specific Passwords With SeaMonkey

Use Password Manager to log out from a site. Click on the Tools option on the toolbar and click on the Password Manager feature from the drop down menu.

Click Log Out to automatically log out of a site you have entered password information for.

Select Manage Stored Passwords to add or delete site specific information to control passwords for the site you are viewing only.

Tips & Warnings
SeaMonkey is available for Mac users who have OS X 10.2 or higher as well as Linux and Windows 95-XP users. You should have 64 MB RAM and 100 MB of free disk space minimum to install SeaMonkey.
Password manager saves your passwords to the hard drive of your computer. You may want to disable the password manager if other people have access to your computer.

Note that these steps for managing passwords were written using version 1.1.1 of SeaMonkey. Instructions for doing so may differ for subsequent versions.
