The Camino Internet browser for Mac OS makes it simple for you to manage your bookmarks. Designed specifically by and for Mac users, Camino allows users to add, create, delete, organize and manage bookmarks with typical Mac simplicity.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Mac computer with Internet access
  • Camino Web browser

Bring up the Camino Bookmark Manager

Step1
Log onto the Internet with Camino.
Step2
Locate and open the 'Bookmarks' tab on the Camino toolbar.

Import Bookmarks From Your Old Browser With Camino

Step1
Click on the "File" menu in Camino.
Step2
Pull down the menu and select 'Import Bookmarks' from the list displayed. You will see a list of the browsers you can import from.
Step3
Select the browser that contains the bookmarks you wish to import. Clicking on the browser will import your bookmarks to Camino.
Step4
Drag the newly imported bookmarks to the bookmarks menu. Once you do so the new bookmarks will appear in the list of Camino bookmarks.

Create New Bookmarks

Step1
Visit the Web site you wish to bookmark.
Step2
Click on the "Bookmarks" menu in the Camino toolbar.
Step3
Select "Add to Bookmarks" from the list displayed.
Step4
Click ‘Ok" to save the bookmark in Camino.

Organize Your Camino Bookmarks Manually

Step1
Open the Camino Web browser.
Step2
Click on "Bookmarks" on the Camino toolbar.
Step3
Select "Bookmarks Manager" from the pull down menu.
Step4
Rearrange your bookmarks manually by clicking on a bookmark and dragging it to the place you want it to be.

Sort Groups of Bookmarks

Step1
Open the Camino Web browser.
Step2
Choose 'Bookmarks' from the toolbar and select the bookmark manager.
Step3
Select the group of bookmarks you want to sort by dragging your mouse over them.
Step4
Click on the "Arrange" button on the bottom right of the bookmarks manager.
Step5
Choose from the pull down list under the 'Arrange' button to sort the bookmarks by title or location.

Tips & Warnings

  • Camino can import and manage bookmarks from Firefox, Netscape, Mozilla, SeaMonkey, Safari, OmniWeb and iCab so long as you have not removed the browser from your computer.
  • Visit the Camino Web site to download Camino (see Resources below).

  • Camino requires that you have 50 MB of available hard drive space, 128 MB of RAM and a Mac OS X operating system.
  • This help guide was created for use with Camino version 1.0.4. The steps may not fully apply to other versions.
