Things You'll Need:
- Borax
- Internet access
- Apple cider vinegar
- Hydrogen peroxide
-
Step 1
Use locally-available, inexpensive folk medicine cures. They can help you avoid the high cost of prescription and synthetic cures, which are often just chemical copies of the natural ingredients anyway.
-
Step 2
Apply apple cider vinegar daily. Apple cider vinegar has been shown to reduce scaling for dandruff sufferers, even in extreme cases.
-
Step 3
Use apple cider vinegar in its pure state or dilute it a bit by mixing with water.
-
Step 4
Massage the apple cider vinegar or mixture into your scalp, much like you'd shampoo.
-
Step 5
Allow the vinegar or mixture to tingle for a minute or so. Then rinse it away.
-
Step 1
Wash the scalp with soap made of borax to treat dandruff. It's known to smooth the skin and replace some lost suppleness.
-
Step 2
Combine borax soap with a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to make for a slightly more penetrating solution. Allow hair to soak for a minute to make sure of absorption. Be sure to keep this solution out of your eyes. Rinse it very well.
-
Step 1
Eat right for a healthier scalp and glossier hair. Oranges, lemons and limes provide the body with necessary nutrients that provide strength to skin, bones and hair follicles. Citrus is extremely vitamin-rich.
-
Step 2
Drink a vinegar concoction. Apple cider vinegar may be ingested with water and honey for additional health benefits. Interestingly, vinegar contains many of the same components as citrus fruit.
