on 8/7/2008 WOW, I'm glad I saw your comment Flynn. I am on day 4 myself of the Cabbage soup diet. I thought i was having a heart attack yesterday because of the incredible pain in the middle of my chest that kept coming on as contractions IT WAS AWFUL!!! I was considering going to the drs. but after a couple hours and myself relaxing after work, the pain went away. I have eaten 2 bananas today so far this morning, lunch is in an hour I hope the pain doesn't come back once I start the soup again.

Have a great day!

on 7/29/2008 I tried a cabbage soup 7 day diet a while back. After about the 4 day, I gave up. I week or so later I began experiencing severe pain in the center of my chest (like someone was stabbing me). I went to my doctor who ran a complete blood workup and sent me to have a special scan taken (I had to drink this chalky medicine and then the injected me with iodine and did a scan). I also had a chest x-ray. All of the test were normal and the doctor gave me a perscription for an acid reflux medication (which didn't seem to help the pain). After about 2 weeks, the pain went away and I have been fine since. I was wondering if anybody who has tried this diet experience similar side effects or if my pain had nothing to do with the diet and was just a coincidence.
