How to Find Pet Care Information on eHow

If you have a new pet and don't know how to care for it, or if you're interested in finding up-to-date information on a pet you've had for awhile, look no further than eHow. Once you log on, you'll find thousands of articles written by a range of experts. The information you need to care for an exotic toad or to train a basic house dog is but a few clicks away. Follow these steps to find it.

Become an eHow Member

1. Go to the eHow homepage and click on "Register" (see Resources below). Your free registration will only take a few minutes.
2. Fill out the appropriate fields with the proper information. Be sure to create a password that's at least 6 characters. Make sure it's a mixture of letters and numbers for added security.
3. Accept the eHow "Terms and Conditions" after you read them. Check the appropriate box to signal that you have read and understand them. Enter the correct verification code and press "Submit."
4. Set up a personal profile for your new eHow account. Create a screen name and upload an avatar, a picture or icon to represent you online, if you want. Write a biography highlighting your education and areas of expertise. If you want to contribute to the site, this information will let other eHow users know something about what you know.

5. Click on "Pet Care" from eHow's homepage. It's third from the bottom in the list of categories on the left-hand side of the page.
6. Scroll through the sub-categories available. You'll find pet care information on everything from cats and dogs to livestock.
7. Find the articles you need from eHow's homepage. Type "pet care" into the "Search" field. If you want, you can search weHow, as well, to see what everyday people have written (see Resources below).

8. Send the articles you found helpful to friends and family using the "email" feature at the top of the article.
9. Comment on the articles you just read by entering your thoughts into the "Comment" box. Remember, always be cordial when contributing.
