How to Find Articles by a Specific Author on eHow

If you need an online resource of "how-to" articles that cover a wide range of topics, including home and garden information, look no further than eHow. Each month, over 6 million people click into eHow in search of step-by-step advice. They glean specific information from thousands of articles that range from personal health to pet care to finance. Finding an author for one of those particular articles can initially seem like a daunting task. In truth, it's quite easy. Follow these steps to find out how.

Join eHow

1. Go to the main page for eHow and click on "Register" (see Resources below). Your free registration will only take a few minutes.
2. Fill out the appropriate fields with the proper information. Be sure to create a password that's at least 6 characters. Make sure it's a mixture of letters and numbers for added security.
3. Accept the eHow "Terms and Conditions" after you read them. Check the appropriate box to signal that you have read and understand them. Enter the correct verification code and press "Submit."
4. Set up a personal profile for your new eHow account. Create a screen name and upload an avatar, a picture or icon to represent you online, if you want. Write a biography highlighting your education and areas of expertise. If you want to contribute to the site, this information will let other eHow users know something about what you know.

5. Search the articles at eHow to find useful information. The best way is to start searching topics that interest you, whether that includes "Food and Dining" or "Pet Care."
6. Note who wrote the articles you like. There will either be an author or an eHow expert listed.
7. Click on the author's name to be taken to his or her profile. From there, click on either the linked number of articles written or the "My Articles" tab so you'll be taken to a complete listing of the author's articles.

8. Type the author's screen name into the search engine. Be certain you're searching both eHow and weHow, eHow's sister site (see Resources below).
9. Read additional articles by your favorite authors. Check back often. Updates are regular.
