Thanks to the wealth of information shared by experts, finding health information using eHow's free service should be a cinch. Follow these steps to find out how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access

    Register for eHow

  1. Step 1

Register in as little as 5 to 10 minutes by going to eHow's home page. Select the "Register" button to get started (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Choosing a user name and password will only take a few moments. Read and accept the terms and conditions of eHow, then click "Submit."

  3. Step 3

Establish your online presence by entering a screen name. For fun, consider using an avatar. An avatar is a picture you can upload to represent yourself online.

  4. Find Medical Information on eHow

  5. Step 1

Search eHow for medical information by going to the "Health" section on the homepage. Select from the sub-topics available, like "Diet and Fitness" or "Conditions and Treatments."

  6. Step 2

Get further information by choosing from the specific topics posted under these sub-topics. For example, if the general topic is "Health," a sub-topic is "Conditions and Treatments." A specific condition is "Allergies."

  7. Step 3

Note how many articles are numbered in parentheses next to each condition. Use this number to decide how much time you'll need to thoroughly explore these articles.

  8. Use Your Medical Information

  9. Step 1

Add new information to the articles available by posting in the "Comments" section.

  10. Step 2

Share the health information you've uncovered by printing out the articles and sharing them with your friends. At the top of each article, you can click "print" or "email" to do either.

Tips & Warnings
  • Get assistance instead of wasting time. If you cannot upload an avatar, contact "Member Services" via the eHow "Contact Us" page for help (see Resources below).
  • To ensure the safety of your account, make a habit of changing your password periodically.
  • Seek medical attention if you feel that your health is in jeopardy. Although there is a lot of information on eHow, it's no substitution for getting a professional diagnosis from a doctor that can examine you one on one.
