How to Setup Answerbag RSS Feeds

For those who have not yet been initiated to the convenience of RSS feeds, they allow you to be connected to a Web site that frequently updates its content. When you have an RSS feed setup, you provide a direct link from a Web site like Answerbag or blog. You'll allow others to be notified when you update something. Follow these steps to find out how to setup RSS feeds for Answerbag.

  • Email account
  • Computer with Internet access

    Sign in or Register on Answerbag.com

  1. Step 1

    Start at the Answerbag home page (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

    Sign in with your email address and password and click on the "Login" button. If you're not a member, you can create an Answerbag account. You'll need to create a nickname and password, and to provide an email address to get started.

  3. Explore the RSS Feed Option on Answerbag

  4. Step 1

    Click on the "RSS Feeds" link on the Answerbag main page. This will give you basic information about the RSS feeds available on Answerbag.

  5. Step 2

    Get updates of the latest questions in all categories by using the "RSS Feed" button, available through the "RSS Feeds" link.

  6. Step 3

    Go to your profile and look for the "RSS Feed" button. You can set up your feed to receive updates to the questions you have asked so that you're notified whenever someone answers one of your questions.

  7. Step 4

    Choose an Answerbag category you are interested in. On each page of questions, there's an "RSS Feed" button and link that will take you to the Answerbag RSS page, which contains the URL for the feed. This page provides you with options regarding where you would like to send your feed.

    Select from the personal home page links that Answerbag provides for you, including My Yahoo pages and the Google home page. Check your own home page to see if it supports an RSS feed setup.

  10. Step 2

    Check your blog to see how to receive updates from Answerbag. Most blogs support RSS feeds.

  11. Step 3

    Use a Web newsreader to receive Answerbag RSS feeds. There are sites you can use that will allow you to gather subscriptions to blogs, news sites or sites like Answerbag. You'll be able to read all the updates you're interested in.
