How to Add Photos to Yahoo Greetings eCards

You've always heard that one picture is worth a 1000 words. Imagine how much one picture is worth if it's of your kids and you're sending it to your folks in a Yahoo Greetings eCard. Follow these steps to learn how you can add photos to your "Yahoo Greetings" eCards for any occasion.

Things You'll Need

• Computer with Internet access
• Membership at Yahoo Greetings
• Digital photos accessible on your desktop or in a file on your computer
• Major credit card (to get a membership if you don't already have one)

Instructions

Add Photos to Yahoo Greetings ECards

1. Start at the home page of Yahoo (see Resources below). Sign into your account. If you don't have one, create one.

2. Enter "eCards" or "Greetings" into the "Search" field and hit the "Web Search" button. Click on the results that will take you to the "Yahoo Greetings" Web page. Or, go directly to the page (see Resources below).

3. Select the category you'd like to browse from the Yahoo Greetings home page. You can choose to review the cards in the "Most Popular eCards" section or the "Great New eCards" section.

4. Pick the card you'd like to send. If it turns out you don't like it or would like to compare it with other eCards, click the "Back" button and select another card. Continue doing so until you find the one you plan to send.

5. Click on "Personalize and Send" button.

6. Fill in the recipient's email address. Fill out the message you'd like to send.

7. Find the link that asks if you'd like to "Add a Photo." Click on this option.

8. Insert your photo by going to the file where the photo is saved on your computer. Select or highlight this file so it's added to the eCard.

9. Review the card when asked. Make sure it's what you want before you send it. You may also select a gift to add (gift cards or flowers) at this time. When you're ready, click "Send."

10. Check your own email inbox for notifications that the card was sent. You'll receive a copy of the card exactly as it will appear in the recipient's inbox. You will also be notified when the recipient has picked the card up from his or her mailbox.

Tips & Warnings

• Not all recipients will be able to open a picture when they receive the card. They may also not be able to view a card if its animated or comes with sound unless they have the appropriate graphics and sound cards in their computer. When in doubt, stick to simple text-only cards so that you're sure they'll be received the way you intended them to be.

• Get additional assistance if you need it. Click on the "Feedback" option to ask a question about Yahoo Greetings (see Resources below).

• Only members are allowed to add pictures to eCards. If you would like to start adding pictures, you'll need to sign up for a Yahoo Greetings account.

• Remember that Yahoo tracks your whereabouts on all of its related Web sites. They keep records of your visits and responses to surveys or contest offers. They will partner with marketing companies who are willing to pay for this kind of information.
