How to Create Yahoo Greeting Accounts

Ever forgotten someone's birthday or spent what seemed like eons in the card aisle of your local drug store? Stop fretting and stop forgetting. Create your account on Yahoo Greetings and you'll be able to start sending all kinds of cards right away. Your friends, family members and co-workers will be all smiles the next time the open their email to find an eCard. Follow these steps to create an account with Yahoo Greetings.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Major credit card to create your account on Yahoo Greetings

    Create Yahoo Greetings Accounts

  1. Step 1

    Sign in to your Yahoo account. If you don't have an account, create one.

  2. Step 2

    Reach the "Yahoo Greetings" Web page by entering "eCards" or "greetings" into the "Search" field on the Yahoo homepage then hitting "Enter." Browse through the results and click the link that will take you there. Or, go directly to the Web site (see Resources below).

  3. Step 3

    Click the "Subscribe Now" link to create a Yahoo Greetings account.

  4. Step 4

    Review the "Welcome" page. Enter your email address into the text box and click the "Continue" button.

  5. Step 5

    Fill in your account information. This will include your full name, address, gender and birthday. Click the "Continue" button when you're done.

  6. Step 6

    Enter your payment information. This includes a major credit card, date of expiration and security code, if applicable. You will also be asked to read and agree to Yahoo Greetings terms of sale. Click on "Agree" and then "Submit."

  7. Step 7

    Finish by printing out your confirmation. You'll also be asked for a user name (usually your email) and be given a password.

  8. Step 8

    Return to the "Yahoo Greetings" page and begin selecting your cards. Save your user ID and password information because you'll need that to send a greeting that isn't on the free list.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can "try out" your account with Yahoo Greetings. You have to submit credit card information; but Yahoo won't charge the card for the first 30 days. If they don't hear from you during the first 30 days, they will automatically start charging your credit card the annual fee.
  • Use the "Feedback" option on the Yahoo Greetings Web page to request additional assistance (see Resources below).
  • Keep in mind that Yahoo! knows all about your comings and goings on any of their Web sites. When you signed up for access to all of their free services, you gave them permission to share that information with marketing partners interested in demographics and potential customer information.
