Play Word Games on Yahoo Games

  1. Step 1

Visit the Yahoo home page and log into your account (see Resources below). From there, head to the Yahoo Games page by clicking on the 'Games' link in the navigation menu.

  2. Step 2

Click on the 'Word' button on the Games Home navigation bar.

  3. Step 3

Click 'View All' to list all the available games.

  4. Step 4

Scan the list and choose from dozens of games. Some are old favorites like Scrabble and daily crossword puzzles. Some are new games like Bookworm or Literati. There are multiple ways to play each game.

  5. Step 5

Choose the game in which you are interested. There will be 1, 2 or 3 options for you to choose from before you can start playing. When you click on 'Download,' you will have an opportunity to download a trial version (with fewer bells and whistles) or go straight to the 'Buy Now' button.

  6. Step 6

Know that when you click on the 'Web' button, you will have the option of downloading a trial version or selecting the 'Buy Now' option. The third option available is to play the 'Web Version' of the game. This option is free and gives you unlimited access to the game.

  7. Step 7

Click on the 'Skill' button when available. Games with this option give you the chance to step into the game as if you were in the hot seat.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you're unsure about whether you like a specific game, take advantage of the downloadable free trial or the unlimited access to the Web version of the game, if available.
  • If you experience any difficulties in choosing or downloading your game(s), don't forget how easy it is to ask for help by going to the 'Games Help' page of Yahoo Games (see Resources below).
  • Some of these games require that you set up an account with a third party gaming Web site (such as King.com). This registration requires no charge, but is necessary to gain access to certain games.
  • You will need to use a charge card to order any of these games for your own use. The billing address of the card must match your address on file with Yahoo Games.
  • Keep in mind that Yahoo does not guarantee the security of third party Web sites. The Web sites that you wind up on as a direct link from Yahoo Games are bona fide partners with Yahoo and are a reasonable risk. If you venture further through these third party Web sites, proceed at your own risk.
