  2. Step 2

Click on the 'More Yahoo Services' button on the Yahoo home page and a window listing all of Yahoo's services will pop up. From these services, select the 'Auctions' link. You will arrive at the Yahoo Auctions home page if you did not log in directly from the Yahoo Auctions site.

Browse the auction categories for items to purchase or, if you have something specific in mind, perform a search by entering the name or related keyword of the item you are seeking into the search field provided. Then select the type of auction you want to search from the drop-down menu before clicking the 'Search' button.

  4. Step 4

Look at the listings on the search results page or the category page you have chosen. Hover your cursor over the names or pictures of items to view more information, such as the auction ID and current price. Click on items to view in-depth descriptions and pricing information.

You will receive emails to your Yahoo account about others bidding on the item or other changes. You will be sent an alert when the auction is coming to a close.

  6. Step 6

Click on the link for your watchlist at any time to track changes or view other details of the item.

  7. Step 7

Use Yahoo Auctions Help if you want more assistance with monitoring your auctions activity.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try different keywords or categories if you are having a hard time finding the item for which you are looking. Make sure you are spelling the item correctly as well.
  • Don't just track items on Yahoo Auctions, track buyer or seller ratings, too. Ratings can change during the course of an auction. Protect yourself by checking ratings and feedback frequently to make sure that other users aren't having problems with a particular seller or buyer.
