Cancel Your Yahoo Music Unlimited Account

  1. Step 1

Go to Yahoo's home page and sign in to your account (see Resources below). Click on the 'My Account' link at the top of the Yahoo home page. You will be led to the page where you can manage your account and all of your services with Yahoo.

  2. Step 2

Click on the link that says "Manage My Premium Services." This will bring you to the page where you can specifically manage your premium services.

  3. Step 3

Find Yahoo Music Unlimited in your list of Premium Services and click on the 'Cancel' button next to it. You will be asked whether you are sure. If you want to cancel your subscription select 'Yes' to proceed.

  4. Step 4

Confirm that you have successfully canceled your account by logging out of Yahoo, then logging back in and checking your list of Premium Accounts. If your Yahoo Music Unlimited Account still appears to be active, you have not been successful in canceling your subscription. Repeat the process or contact Yahoo support personnel for help.

  5. Step 5

Consider replacing your premium service with a simple free service offered by Yahoo so you can still listen to music through your computer, such as the Yahoo Music Jukebox.

  6. Step 6

Contact Yahoo about your subscription if you are having billing problems. Click on the 'Help' link in any Yahoo window to Email Yahoo support staff (see Resources below). If you are getting frustrated with completing this process online for any reason, you can reach Yahoo support staff by phone at 1-866-562-7219.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider fully exploring what the Yahoo Music Unlimited premium service has to offer before you cancel a trial subscription.
  • Remember that your subscription service will stay active until your original service agreement ends, even if you cancel before then.
  • Keep in mind that if you signed up for a free trial subscription to Yahoo Music Unlimited or any other premium service, and you decide you don't want to keep it, you need to cancel your subscription before the free trial expires or you could be charged for up to a year's worth of service.
  • Never give out your password or billing information outside of Yahoo's secure server. For example, you will never be asked by Yahoo to include this information in an email. If this happens, report the email to Yahoo.
