Playlists are a terrific tool, not just for yourself, but for friends, family and anyone else if you're a member of the Yahoo Music community. With Yahoo Music Jukebox, you can share playlists with anyone else on the Yahoo Music Network. People with Yahoo Music Unlimited can listen to your playlists from start to finish, and you can do the same. That gives your Yahoo Music experience limitless possibilities.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Yahoo Music Jukebox
  • Computer
  • Yahoo account

    Publish and Share Your Playlists

  1. Step 1

Start Yahoo Music Jukebox by clicking its icon in the Start Menu or by double-clicking its desktop shortcut. Download and install Yahoo Music Jukebox from the Yahoo Music Web site or from the Yahoo Music home page (see Resources below) if you haven't done so already.

  2. Step 2

Create a playlist to share by clicking on the File menu and selecting 'Create a New Playlist.' Once you've given the playlist a name, add songs to it by clicking the ones you want to add and then clicking the 'Add to Playlist' button.

  3. Step 3

Click on the text field marked 'Description' and give your playlist some details. What genre of music is it? Which artists are represented? Are they all from the same album or is it a 'greatest hits' compilation? Give it a description so others know what it is.

  4. Step 4

Click the 'Make It Public' link to send your playlist to Yahoo Music. Once it is live, people can find it by searching for song titles, album names, the name of the playlist or even by your username.

  5. Step 5

Check on the status of your playlists by clicking on your username and opening your profile. This will show you how many times other users have listened to your playlists, as well as which are currently the most popular.

  6. Step 6

Find other people's playlists in the same manner you'd find music from Yahoo Music. Just enter a search for the song, artist or username of the person's playlist, and their profile will appear.

Tips & Warnings
  • Label the playlists you share clearly, or with enough of a description to make their contents apparent to other users. This will increase the likelihood someone else will add your playlist to the favorites.
  • Take advantage of Yahoo Answers when you have technical problems or questions that need to be addressed (see Resources below).
  • Be careful when listening to the playlists other people share. Sometimes not every song in a playlist is appropriate for work or the general public, so be sure to double check the list before you let it run.
  • Don't store your account information online as you run the risk of having it stolen by malicious parties.
