Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Yahoo download manager
  • Yahoo Music Jukebox
  • Computer
  • Yahoo account

Get New Music Using the Yahoo Download Manager

  1. Step 1

Start Yahoo Music Jukebox from the Yahoo home page (see Resources below) or by clicking on its icon in the Start Menu (or wherever you've stored a link to open it).

  2. Step 2

Sign in to Yahoo Music by entering your account information in the 'Sign In' field. Click the 'Sign Up' link if you haven't already created an account.

  3. Step 3

Search for artists and songs by entering your search parameters in the 'Search' text field.

  4. Step 4

Select a song or album from the list of search results that appears. Sometimes there are multiple edits of the same song, so you might need to check several listings before you find the one you're looking for.

  5. Step 5

Click the 'Download' link that appears with your song choice. You will then be asked to enter your payment information, after which your download will begin.

  6. Step 6

Click on 'Download Manager.' This will list all of the current and future downloads that you have queued.

  7. Step 7

Track your downloads according to how they were purchased. Subscription downloads can be accessed at any time and can be re-downloaded as long as your subscription is active. Burnable downloads may only be downloaded once, so be sure you burn it prior to deleting it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try downloading your music later in the day, especially on weekdays. The speed at which your download manager will work is higher at times of the day when most people are already in bed.
  • If you're having trouble getting your music to play properly, or if it sounds choppy, then head to Yahoo Answers for tips from other Yahoo members (see Resources below).
  • Avoid canceling and restarting downloads with the download manager. Although it is an uncommon problem, your download may need to begin again. This can be a hassle if the file size is very large, or worse, you paid for the download and must now pay for it a second time (though this is a rare problem caused by the Yahoo servers not syncing).
  • Protect your account with a random password containing both numbers and letters.
