Yahoo is a terrific resource--and not just for getting the latest news or checking your email. With Yahoo, you can also listen to your favorite music and even watch videos by your favorite artists. It's easy to find your favorite music using Yahoo, and with a few clicks of your mouse you'll have access to hundreds of artists and thousands of songs.

  • Computer
  • Yahoo account

Find Your Favorite Music Videos on Yahoo

  1. Step 1

Head to Yahoo Music or the Yahoo home page and sign in to your Yahoo account using the 'Sign In' link (see Resources below). Create an account by clicking the 'Sign Up' link.

  2. Step 2

Search for videos by using the Search text field. This will bring up a list of entries that closely match your selection, which you can then click on individually until you find the song you are looking for.

  3. Step 3

Move your mouse pointer over the 'Music Videos' tab. This will bring up a drop-down menu containing a number of different search options.

  4. Step 4

Use one of the 'Music Video' menu options to access videos. Choose 'Top 100' to view the current most popular videos on Yahoo, for example, or use the 'New Videos' option to check out the latest uploads to the site.

  5. Step 5

Click one of the tab links from the video list to change the way in which the videos are ordered (by name, by review, by artist or by genre).

  6. Step 6

Click on the name of a song in the 'Video' column to make a selection. This will open up a separate window that contains the actual video player.

  7. Step 7

Use the volume slider to adjust the volume, or use the time slider to change what part of the song you are listening to. You may need to wait for the song to buffer and load before certain parts are available.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you're having trouble getting music to play on your computer, it may be a problem with your media player. Visit Yahoo Answers (see Resources below) to see troubleshooting tips.
  • Turn off all unnecessary applications, and limit the amount of bandwidth you are using when accessing multimedia like music videos. Keeping other applications to a minimum will improve performance and playback quality.
  • Turn the volume down if you're listening to Yahoo Music at work. Some songs might contain suggestive lyrics which are not office appropriate. Most will be edited, but it's better to play it safe--some workplaces closely monitor their employees' Web activity.
