How to Upload Pictures to Yahoo Personals

Yahoo Personals is among the better resources, with terrific profile options and plenty of opportunities for you to really let your personality shine. Upload Pictures to Yahoo Personals

1. Sign in to Yahoo by heading to the home page and clicking the 'Sign In' link (see Resources below). Once you're done, you'll be redirected to the Yahoo front page.

2. Click on the 'Personals' link from the Yahoo main page.

3. Create an account with Yahoo Personals by clicking the 'Create New Profile' link.

4. Fill in all of the required fields for creating an account with Yahoo Personals. Expect to devote at least 15 minutes to doing so, especially if you really want to have a profile that stands out.

5. Click the 'Add Photo' link once you've reached the final page of the account creation process.

6. Be sure to pay attention to any specific requirements, such as size requirements or formatting. If your picture is too big, you'll need to crop it, and if it's too large in terms of memory, then you'll need to reduce the size and possibly its quality in order to make it valid.

7. Double-click on the image you'd like to upload, or click it once and then click 'Open' as you would when accessing files on your computer.

8. Click the 'Browse' button to open a directory list that shows your available pictures. This usually opens the 'My Pictures' folder on your computer, so if your picture is located elsewhere, you'll need to find it in this menu.

9. Click the 'Submit Photo(s)' link once you are done choosing your pictures. This will upload them and send you back to your profile's home page. From here, you can re-edit your profile and personal information.

Tips & Warnings

• Try to have your pictures be as clear as possible. Blurry Web cam pictures are never very appealing, and they don't exactly indicate that you really care about meeting people. Buy or borrow a digital camera and have someone take a nice picture of you.
• Update your profile regularly. Yahoo Personals is a terrific resource, but only if you use it to its fullest potential. Make sure your pictures are up to date and edit your profile whenever you feel like giving it some more pizazz.
• Check with Yahoo Answers whenever you have questions about troubleshooting your account or questions about billing (see Resources below).
• As with any online dating or community Web site, you must exercise caution with Yahoo Personals. While the vast majority of users are positive and harmless, there is always the danger that someone's intentions are less than honorable.
