How to Share Photos With Yahoo

One of the most popular features on Yahoo's Web site has long been their photo options. With an upgrade for Yahoo Photos in the making and a boatload of existing bells and whistles, Yahoo is a great place to store, sort and share your digital photos on the Web. Fortunately, it's easy to learn how to share your photos using your Yahoo account.

• Computer with Internet access

Access Yahoo Photos

1. Visit Yahoo's home page and sign in to your Yahoo account (see Resources below). If you don't have a Yahoo account, you will need to click the 'Sign Up' link and follow instructions to creating an account before you can share your photos with Yahoo.

2. Click on the 'Photos' link on Yahoo's home page once you have logged in to your Yahoo account. This will bring you to the Yahoo Photos page.

3. Browse the user-friendly Yahoo Photos page and explore your options before adding your photos.

4. Click on 'Add Photos' when you are ready to start filling your Yahoo photo albums.

5. Type in a name for your new album and select 'Continue.'

6. Choose a 'Sharing Setting' from the list. You can choose to keep your photos private, share them with the public or share them only with select friends.

7. Click 'Continue' when you have selected a setting. You will now be prompted to install a Yahoo tool that will help you upload your photos.

8. Click 'Get Started' and click 'Run' each time a window requests for you to choose between 'Run' and 'Save.'

9. Click 'Next' and read and agree to the License Agreement, and then click 'Finish. You are now ready to upload pictures.

10. Find your photos where they are saved on your computer once you have completed the install process then drag and drop them into the upload tool.

11. Follow the prompts until your photos show up in your album.

12. Repeat for other albums.

Tips & Warnings

• Order prints of your photos at Yahoo and pick them up the same day at Target. Click the Target link in Yahoo Photos to be directed to the simple order form that will allow you to use this convenient feature without leaving your home.
• Upload camera phone pictures too!
• Upload photos directly from your camera phone to your online albums as well. Click on the 'Camera Phone' link in Yahoo Photos to use this tool.
• Find additional help on the Yahoo Photos Help page (see Resources below).
• Never post lewd or graphic photographs in public albums. It is against Yahoo rules and could cost you your access to this feature if you don't abide by it. Beyond that, it is simply unsafe to reveal such personal information.
