There are dozens of popular games available through the Yahoo Games Web site. Whether you want to play a card game or a board game against your friends, you can find a game you'll enjoy playing through Yahoo. Even so, it is important to be able to see the game while you are playing! Luckily, it is simple to make your games fit on a single screen.

Fit Your Yahoo Games on a Single Screen

  1. Step 1

Head to the Yahoo home page or the Yahoo Games Web site (see Resources below) and search for the games you want to download and play. Try to download only one at a time to keep the speed high and limit the time it takes to get the files you need.

  2. Step 2

Play games right in your Internet browser (many have this capability). This will automatically make the games fit on a single screen, although it will force the game to display in a much smaller window.

  3. Step 3

Install the Yahoo games you want to play onto your hard drive and start them. This allows you to play your game in a separate window which you can control.

  4. Step 4

Press Alt-Enter to switch your current window into full-screen mode. This will cause your game to fit on one screen by making it the only active window. You will no longer see the program window, but only the game window itself.

  5. Step 5

Choose the 'Full Screen' option when your game offers it. Some of the more popular Yahoo games automatically come with a Full Screen menu option.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always set your resolution to the best for your monitor. Doing so will optimize all of your games as well as your desktop.
  • Find other players for popular Yahoo games using Yahoo Messenger. It's possible to invite other users to the games you're currently playing by simply sending them an invite in an instant message.
  • If you can't seem to get games to load on your computer, try visiting the Yahoo Help page for answers about system requirements (see Resources below).
  • Turn off unnecessary applications while playing games, particularly those that require an Internet connection. This will improve the performance of your games as more memory will be available.
  • Be aware that not all of the Yahoo games are free. Some games are offered by Yahoo on a trial basis, but you will be required to purchase them once the trial period has ended.
  • While most games on Yahoo are perfectly safe, be cautious of those that install unwanted software, such as spyware or adware, on your computer.
