How to Create a Diary on Sina

A web diary is an easy way to share your everyday experiences and random thoughts with friends. SINA Match allows its users to create diary entries that are hosted on their personal profiles. If you have friends who use SINA, you can read each others' diaries to stay in touch.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access

    Create a SINA Diary

  1. Step 1

    Start the process of creating a SINA diary on the SINA homepage (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

    Click on the 'N. America' tab to reach the United States main page.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the tab that features a pink heart icon. This will take you to the SINA Match Web page.

  4. Step 4

    Enter your log in ID and password. If you do not have an account, you will have to create one. Click on the 'Log In' button.

  5. Step 5

    Click on the 'My Profile' tab to reach your profile. Click on the 'Compose Diary' link to create your own SINA diary.

  6. Step 6

    Enter a title for your diary post and choose one of the available feelings. You will also want to select one of the privacy settings. You can choose 'Public for Comment,' 'Public But No Comment' or 'Do Not Public.'

  7. Step 7

    Write your diary post in the 'Content' text box. Free members can write up to 250 words daily, and VIP members can write up to 1000 words a day.

  8. Step 8

    Add an image to your diary post by using the 'Browse' button to search your computer's image files.

  9. Step 9

    Hit the 'Submit' button to post your diary entry to your SINA Match profile.

  10. Search for Diaries on SINA

  11. Step 1

    Visit the SINA Match homepage (see Resources below). Log in if you have a user account.

  12. Step 2

    Click the 'Recent Diary' tab to review the most recent diary entries of other SINA Match users.

  13. Step 3

    Choose from 'Recent Diaries' and 'Popular Diaries.' Click on the 'More' button if you want to see more options.

Tips & Warnings
  • Fill out the SINA 'Support' form to request assistance if you run into problems creating your diary or adding new postings (see Resources below).
  • Do not include any sensitive information in your diary post, especially if you choose to make it public. Refrain from including your home or business address, your phone number or your email address.
