Step 1
Pull up the homepage of the Craigslist Web site (See Resources below). Access to the Web site is free.

Look for the list of cities available. Choose the city closest to the area where you need office space. Next, look for the 'Housing' column. Put your cursor arrow over the 'Office/Commercial listing'.

Scroll through the list of any office space/commercial listings for the city you've selected. Repeat with another city if you don't find what you're looking for. Check out as many listings as you'd like.

Find a listing that meets your criteria, then look for specific directions on how to answer the ad listing. Each ad will tell you the preferred method for response.

Choose your method of response from what's listed in the ad. That may include direct phone number, cell number, fax number or an email address. Remember to note the ad's ID number for reference in your response. If there are no contact numbers, look for the button to 'Send a Note' and click on it. You'll be able to send a message to the poster's anonymous email address.

Step 6
Check Craigslist at least once a day for new postings. The listings are constantly updated, and since so many people use the Web site, you need to respond quickly to the ones that interest you.
