Rate: (0 Ratings)

If you are running a registered Web site, you can find out the daily traffic to your Web pages and your page ranking in popular search engines like Google or Yahoo. By following a few simple steps, you can find the Web page ranking and even enhance it by improving the Web contents and using common keywords.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Know that page ranking goes from 0 points to 10 points.
Step2
Understand that the links to your Web site determine the ranking. The more links you get to your Web page, the higher your ranking will be. When people use a search engine to find sites on a certain topic, sites are listed according to rank. The goal is to rank as high as you can.
Step3
Find the Web page ranking searching for the site on popular search engines Google, Yahoo or MSN. These engines, while displaying the Web site link, also provide their ranking.
Step4
Use keywords such as "page ranking software." Search for a free or paid page ranking software that will provide personalized ranking reports to you.
Step5
Install tools for determining Web page rankings (see Resources below).
Step6
Enter the URL or the domain name of the Web site in the tools mentioned in the Resources section. Click on the "Calculate" button and it will display the ranking. This will also allow you to get the Web page ranking report.

Tips & Warnings

  • Many Web sites that offer Web page rankings require registration. Always read the terms and agreements before registering.
  • You can install the Google toolbar on your browser. The toolbar displays Google’s Web ranking for every page you visit. See the Resources section for links to more information.
