Reunions are a great way to see old friends, former classmates, or family members. However, organizing a reunion is never easy, so if you are in charge of organizing a reunion at the beach, you can take the process step by step to make the big event go smoothly.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hotel reservations
  • A place to hold the reunion
  • Caterers
  • Decorations
  • Invitations
  • Seating and tables
  • Entertainment
  1. Step 1

Choose a beach for your reunion. This might be somewhere near your homes, a beach you've visited in the past, or simply somewhere you've always wanted to visit.

  2. Step 2

Book a hotel or hall for a reunion party. It is best to choose an indoor location in case it rains, although having an outdoor terrace or path to the beach may also be a great idea.

  3. Step 3

Call neighboring hotels in a variety of price ranges to block off rooms for reunion-goers.

  4. Step 4

Send out invitations asking people to RSVP by a certain date. Include the hotel information.

  5. Step 5

Plan beach activities such as picnics, diving and tours. Include some variety to cater to all tastes and activity levels

  6. Step 6

Hire entertainment for your reunion night, such as a D.J. or a live band.

  7. Step 7

Once the RSVP date has passed, hire a caterer for the reunion. You may also want to hire a bartender.

  8. Step 8

Rent seating, tables and decorations if needed.

  9. Step 9

Arrive at the beach at least a day early to set up for the reunion.

Tips & Warnings
  • Organizing a reunion is a lot of work. You may wish to have a committee to help you do the work.
  • Hand off organizational responsibilities every year. If you have to plan it all yourself every year, you may end up feeling resentful.
  • Make sure to plan activities for rainy or cold weather.
