It can be a lot of fun to organize a family reunion for a birthday party for a member of your family. This is especially great for a milestone birthday, such as 50 or 65. The reunion can be elaborate and large, or small and quiet. Here are some of the things to keep in mind when you want to organize a reunion.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Write down a list of your family members with their contact information. For the family members whose contact information you don’t have, call other family members to see if they have the information.

  2. Step 2

Find a local hall or arena where you will hold the reunion and book it for a weekend date.

  3. Step 3

Call the guest of honor and make sure he or she can attend that weekend.

  4. Step 4

Book any entertainment you may want, such as a band or D.J.

  5. Step 5

Call a caterer if the event will be catered, or plan to have a pot-luck reunion where everyone brings a dish.

  6. Step 6

Once the time, place, entertainment and food are in place, call everyone on your list or send them a written invitation.

  7. Step 7

Include an RSVP date for one to two weeks ahead of the reunion date.

  8. Step 8

Send out the invitations early enough to allow people to accommodate your arrangements, especially if people are coming in from out of town.
