New England is a beautiful place to vacation, especially in the fall when the weather is turning crisp and the leaves look like they are on fire. The history of the area is also rich and fascinating, and you can easily see the British and French origins of the country. If you are planning a visit to this beautiful part of the United States, then you are far from alone.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Book your hotel as soon as you book your flight (or plan your drive) in order to get the right room for you and your family. You may even want to look into a bed and breakfast for your stay.

  2. Step 2

Plan ahead for the sights and museums that you want to visit, and be sure to include a little bit of something for everyone. If your kids will only be happy with an amusement park, then maybe you should just let them have their day.

  3. Step 3

Let everyone help with the planning so that there are no surprises. Even small kids can be shown pictures of sights and have places described to them before you embark on your trip.

  4. Step 4

Remember that your trip is not about how many things you can see, it is about having fun as a family!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a list of things to pack, and be sure to triple check it before you leave!
  • Help your kids pack and check what they bring. Remember that the weather might be different in New England.
  • Take lots of pictures for later, but don't forget to come out from behind the camera for some real fun, too!
