How to View Movie Trailers on the PSP

In addition to playing games, you can watch movies, listen to music and view photos on your Sony PSP. You can even download the latest movie trailers for portable viewing.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PC
  • Memory Stick Duo
  • USB cable
  • Sony PSP
  1. Step 1

    Download movie trailers to your computer from a Web site such as Sony PSP Connect.

  2. Step 2

    Open the compressed files using a decompression utility such as WinZip.

  3. Step 3

    Transfer the files to your desktop. There will be two files—one will have the file extension .MP4 and the other will have the extension .THM.

  4. Step 4

    Connect your PSP to your PC with a USB cable.

  5. Step 5

    Select “Settings” from the “Home” menu on your PSP.

  6. Step 6

    Select “USB Connection."

  7. Step 7

    Select “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer” from the “Removable Disk” window on your PC.

  8. Step 8

    Copy the folder called “MP_ROOT” to the “Removable Disk” directory.

  9. Step 9

    Open the “MP_ROOT” folder on the “Removable Disk” directory. There should be a folder called “101ANV01” inside.

  10. Step 10

    Copy the .MP4 and .THM files to the “101ANV01” folder.

  11. Step 11

    Once you’ve finished copying the files, you can view the movie trailer on your PSP.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not disconnect the USB cable while transferring data from your PC to the Memory Stick—this may damage any data stored on it.
