How to Listen to Music With Your PSP

In addition to playing games on your Sony PSP, you can view photos, play movies and listen to music. To listen to music, you'll need music files saved on a Memory Stick Duo, or an audio Universal Media Disk (UMD).

Instructions

      Select "Music" from the "Home" menu.

      Insert a Memory Stick Duo or UMD into the appropriate slot on your PSP.

      Select the icon for your removable media device.

    • 4

      Press button "X" to display the group or track list.

    • 5

      Select a track to listen to then press button "X."

      Use the "Sound" button on the PSP to select an EQ curve appropriate to the type of music you are playing. Choose from Heavy, Pop, Jazz and Unique settings.

Tips & Warnings

  • Music files on the Memory Stick Duo must be in MP3 or ATRA3plus format.

  • A group is a collection of tracks that are arranged for playback in a certain order. To play a group on the PSP, it must first be configured on your PC then transferred to the Memory Stick Duo.

  • You cannot create or edit groups on the PSP; you must connect your PSP and computer using a USB cable and then edit the groups on your PC.
