1. Check the roofer' s state license
   Is the license up to date
   What is the status of the license?
2. s the roofer insured? You do not want to be liable!
   Liability?
   Workman' s Compensation?
   How much is the insurance for?
3. Check the contractor's Reputation
   Contact the Better Business Bureau in your area.
   Ask for reference for roofing they have done.
   How long have they been in the roofing business?
4. Workmanship Warranty?
   How long is the contractor willing to warrantee their work?
   Does it cover defects in the roof?
5. Manufacturer's Warranty?
   How long does the manufacturer cover the roofing materials?
   Do you get a copy of the manufacturer's warranty?
6. Get Estimates
   Does the contractor provide you with a detailed estimate?
   Do they inspect your roof thoroughly?
   Do they explain their findings?
   Does the estimate include a detailed description?
   Does the estimate contain any additional work that needs to be done?
   Does it contain warranty information?
7. Will they use a Sub - Contractor
   Will the contractor hire a sub-contractor?
   IF so - YOU need to check out all of this with the sub-contractor also!
