This is a brief instruction about how to properly hold a tennis racket.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A tennis racket
  1. Step 1

    Place the tennis racket on the ground of floor.

  2. Step 2

    Bend down and pick up the racket. This is how you should begin to hit forehands.

  3. Step 3

    Slightly rotate your hand toward the top of the racket. This is how you should hit backhands and hit balls at the net.

Tips & Warnings
  • The first grip is the most common. Be sure to rotate your hand for backhands and net play - it'll give you more power and control.
  • Don't rotate your hand too far for backhands and net play.
