Proposing onscreen in a movie theater is a great idea if you and your intended are film buffs. Follow these steps for proposing through a commercial in a movie theater.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Contact the movie theater to find out how to run an ad at one specific showing of a movie. You may have to purchase a package of ads, so be prepared to negotiate.

  2. Step 2

Inquire about payment schedules, deadlines for submission and cancellation policies.

  3. Step 3

Contact at least two other theaters, if possible, and ask the same questions so you can compare deals.

  4. Step 4

Choose where you will run the ad.

  5. Step 5

Create the ad and make the payment before the deadline.

  6. Step 6

Purchase the ring. Store it where she is not likely to find it.

  7. Step 7

Purchase tickets for the showing as early as possible so the show does not sell out. You can reserve tickets online for most shows, but that does not guarantee you a choice of seats. Arrive early to pick a good spot.

  8. Step 8

Consider inviting friends and family to the showing. Discuss where they will sit if you do not want your girlfriend to see them until after the proposal is shown.

  9. Step 9

Don't forget the ring when you are leaving for the movie!
