Using a commercial on local television to propose will create a memorable moment for you and your girl friend. If you would like to propose using this medium, follow these steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Contact the person who books the commercials for your local TV station. Explain what you would like to and set a time to record the spot. Many local stations will provide studios in which to film the commercial.

  2. Step 2

If the station doesn't provide a studio, search online and in the phone book for video companies that will record the spot for you. Make sure they record it in a medium the TV station can broadcast. Consult with the person who books commercials for the channel.

  3. Step 3

Find out when the station will air, and then you can play it one of two ways. First, you and your girl friend can have a "television date," and watch the program together. After your commercial airs, hand her that ring.

  4. Step 4

As an alternative, have friends invite her over to watch TV without you. Right after the commercial airs, you pop out of the hiding place and hand her the ring. This has the advantage of representing a double surprise.
