Proposing using the radio is a creative and exciting idea. Not only will your girlfriend hear the proposal, so will a large listening audience! If you would like to propose using a commercial on the radio, follow these steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be absolutely certain your girlfriend will hear the commercial. If you cannot be certain she will hear the proposal, you may want to consider an alternate way of proposing.

  2. Step 2

To be sure she will hear the proposal, enlist the help of a friend. If your girlfriend's friend is driving in a car with your girlfriend in it, the friend can be sure the radio is on the correct station.

  3. Step 3

Contact a radio station your girlfriend enjoys. Ask to speak to someone in charge of commercials.

  4. Step 4

Explain to the person in charge of commercials what you would like to do. Ask if your preferred time would be available and how much the commercial would cost.

  5. Step 5

Call several other stations your girlfriend enjoys and inquire about their prices as well.

  6. Step 6

Once you decide on a station, contact the person with whom you originally spoke and schedule a time to come in and record the commercial.

  7. Step 7

If you will be enlisting the help of a friend or family member, be sure that person knows exactly when the commercial will be on.

  8. Step 8

During the commercial, be sure to have your cell phone or other phone nearby so that your girlfriend can contact you right away.

  9. Step 9

If you can't purchase commercial time, ask if a deejay or radio announcer will agree to pop the question for you at a time when you and your girlfriend will listening together.

  10. Step 10

Some stations will tape your commercial rather than have you deliver it live. If that's the case, you can be with your girl friend when the broadcast airs. Have that ring ready!
