Snorkeling is an activity that does not require great skill and can be enjoyed by many people. If you are on a cruise or other vacation, you would not be arousing suspicion if you suggested a snorkeling trip. So, you may also have the element of surprise in your favor. If you would like to propose underwater while snorkeling, follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Make reservations for a snorkeling trip. If you are going to be snorkeling from a cruise, see if you can make reservations for a shore excursion before embarking on the cruise.
Step2
Purchase the ring.
Step3
Because you will be under water, you will need to have a written proposal. The proposal could be a sign that you carry or something attached to a stationary object such as an anchor before you arrive. For the latter, you will need the help of the company you are snorkeling with. Talk to a representative of the company and ask what they can do to help. They may have some creative ideas from other proposals that you could use.
Step4
Let your girlfriend know that you would like to go on the snorkeling adventure and ask if she will accompany you. Make sure she is agreeable to a snorkeling adventure before setting up the proposal.
Step5
Decide how you will transport the ring. You may need to tie it to your bathing suit or pin it in your pocket. If you feel that the company is trustworthy, you could entrust them with ring. However, this move is somewhat risky. It would be better to hold onto the ring yourself if possible.
Step6
When the time comes to propose, be sure that your girlfriend sees the sign and knows that it is for her.
