How to Propose to a Woman Who Loves Gardening

For those women whose passion is gardening, a garden themed proposal can be very romantic. You will be acknowledging the importance of her hobby and your interest in her. If you would like to propose to a woman who loves gardening, follow these steps.

1. Decide how much of a garden theme you would like to include in your proposal.
   
2. Decide if you want use a style: elegant gardening, country gardening, or something humorous.
3. If you are using an elegant garden theme, plan to propose in a botanical garden, a glassed pavilion in a garden or a formal garden.
   
4. If you would like to use a country garden theme, plan to visit a field of wild flowers, a covered bridge near a garden, or a casual garden in a public location on the outskirts of town.
5. Build your humorous garden theme around gardening icons. You might put the ring on a flower stem in a flower pot, write a note and place it on the tong of a pitchfork or rake, stick a series of small shovels in the ground as a path leading to you, or incorporate other gardening tools into the proposal.
6. Once you have decided on your theme, reserve the site, call your girlfriend and schedule the outing.
7. Plan what you would like to say. However, do not memorize every line. Otherwise, your proposal will sound mechanical.
8. During the proposal, you may want to make reference to her love of gardening, what that love says about her and means to you. Think her nurturing personality and her love of the outdoors.
