When you're ready to propose, you want the event to be memorable. One way of making sure that she will always remember it is to plan a weekend getaway to propose. Here are some suggestions for making that happen.

From Quick Guide: Weekend Getaway
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access for searching
  1. Step 1

Think about places the two of you have traveled in the past: Which have had the most meaning? If there is a special place, consider booking your weekend getaway at that location.

  2. Step 2

Haven't done much–—or any–—traveling together before but still want to plan a weekend getaway to propose? Think about the places the two of you have always said you wanted to visit and book your weekend getaway at that location.

  3. Step 3

Do your homework. Call a travel agent or check with online travel agencies and services to help you find the best price on a trip to the location you want–—when you want to take it.

  4. Step 4

Book the right weekend getaway. Keep all the paperwork together.

  5. Step 5

Decide whether or not to make the trip a surprise. If you want to tell her about the trip, do so; if you don't want to tell her, just let her know when to be ready and make it a point to have everything she'll need.

  6. Step 6

Make sure you pack everything that you will need for the trip–—including the engagement ring. Go and have a great time.
