How to Edit a Post in a LiveJournal Community Blog

LiveJournal, a virtual community Web site, lets users edit any of their blogs and posts. Here how.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log on to the LiveJournal Web site (see Resources below). If you are a new user, create a new account; members can enter their usernames and passwords within the fields in the top right corner of the page.

  2. Step 2

    Select the "Journal" option from the menu.

  3. Step 3

    Go to "Edit Entries." On the form that appears, enter the required information and press the "Proceed" button.

  4. Step 4

    Edit or delete the information you want and click "Enter."

  5. Step 5

    Consult the menu options to get information about a particular downloadable client; you can use many different programs to edit and delete the journal entries.

Tips & Warnings
  • Editing or deleting permanently changes a post. You cannot retrieve old versions, so if a particular post is important, save it or change its security level.
  • Use the FAQs section as a reference in case you have a question or problem while posting on your blog.
