How to do an Ollie on a skateboard

* before you learn anything in skateboarding, learn to do an ollie first. It may take you up to 2 or 3 months to learn it so be patient.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a skateboard, a flat and straight ground like a straight road where there are not a lot of cars coming by.
  1. Step 1
     

    THE STANCE

    put your front foot in the middle of the board
    put your back foot in the middle of the tail but a little bit slanted

  2. Step 2
     

    TAPPING THE TAIL

    tap the tail but not too fast and not too slow
    tap the tail to make the board pop
    get used to tapping the tail first before you do anything else

  3. Step 3

    THE POP

    practice making the tail pop

  4. Step 4
     

    THE SLIDE

    now as your making the board pop with the tail, slide your front foot to the middle of the nose

  5. Step 5
     

    LEVEL OUT

    now as your in the air, put your feet on the bolts and level out the board so it is straight so you can get a clean land

  6. Step 6
     

    THE LANDING

    now land and and bend your legs when you land

Tips & Warnings
  • bend your legs when you jump up or you won't get a good clean pop
  • don't get frustrated, this may take up to 2 months to learn
  • Skateboarding is a very dangerous sport and could result into serious injury or possibly death
